The CAZZOLA's Clan, originated in the ancient, noble town of Gravedona on the Lake Como, in Lombardy, northern
Italy. [http://www.gravedona.it/] From the official records kept in local archives, the CAZZOLA family was prominent
in Gravedona as early as the year 1224 A.D.. Members of the Cazzola family are on record as having been Notaries in Gravedona
for several centuries. From the year 1341, notarial records show that the family started branching out to the neighbouring
territories of northern Italy, in 1341 to Chiavenna and Morbegno, in 1388 to Cortenova in Valsassina, where in 1419 Antonio
Cazzola, Notaio, son of Giacomo was the Representative of Cortenova with the Duke. Documents from the city archives
show that in the year 1417 a branch of the Family, headed by Antonio heir of Giacomo Cazzola was awarded the citizenship of
Como. In 1440 Martino Cazzola was installed as the Rector of Grandate's Church, whilst in 1496 Baldassarre Cazzola
is on record as the Doctor of Coira's Bishop. In 1556 the Family is present in Milano, in 1715 in Genova. In the
year 1802 Giovanni Cazzola of Milano moves to Venezia as tax commissioner, his son Amedeo was there a Notaio. Giovanni
son af Amedeo Cazzola was born in Venezia on June 7, 1837, grew-up with the maternal grandparents in Vienna, completed his
studies in Berlin, then continued in his father steps as Notaio. The year 1875 Giovanni Cazzola moves his family
to Bologna and was there a Notaio. He had 3 surviving children, Amedeo, an Ingegnere, Alfredo, a Lawyer and Armando (born
in Feltre on March 20, 1872) doctor of medecine & surgery [Universita' di Bologna July 1897]. Alfredo and Amedeo moved
to Milano and Torino respectively. Armando MD, started his practice in Bologna In the year 1905 Armando, MD, moves to
Pergola (PU), for a sulfur mining concern (Zolfi Marche e Romagna) and was there, among other, City Mayor for several decades,
had 4 sons (professionals and entrepreneurs), Giovanni, Antonio, Fernando, Sergio and 8 grandchildren, Armando(Dr.Ing.),
Mauro(Dr.), Massimo(MD), Fabio(Atty. at Law), Paolo, others.

Family [which is found at page (folio) 23 of the "Stemmario Bosisio" kept at (and property of) the "Archivio
Storico della Diocesi di Como" and published by "orsinidemarzo.com", shows , over blue and gold fields, a golden
Lion and two golden oil lamps (that in the old local dialect were called "cazzola" or "cazola").
